Atlas Delivery Service has moved Texas medicine for 47 years. Family-owned, Texas-based, focused on one job.
Atlas Delivery Service was founded in Houston by Kenny and David Newell — two brothers who built a medical courier around a simple idea: hire good drivers, train them for medical work, answer the phone at two in the morning, and show up when the clock is the whole job.
"We don't move boxes. We move things that matter to patients. Every driver on our team knows that before they get the keys."
Decades later, that foundation of service is carried forward by the J.H. Walker family — a Texas-owned logistics group that brought Atlas into a four-city operation across Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio, alongside sister companies J.H. Walker Trucking and Superior Delivery Service. The scope got bigger. The standard didn't.
You can infer a lot about a company from what it refuses to do. These are ours.
Live dispatch, every hour of every day. If medical transport were a 9-to-5 business we wouldn't be in it. No voicemail, no answering service, no third-party overnight handoff.
Medical drivers are trained — for bloodborne pathogens, for HIPAA, for hospital protocols, for home-delivery posture. We're not a gig platform with a medical label.
Medical is all we do. We don't run pizza, don't do retail last-mile, don't chase the latest logistics trend. When the scope widens to freight or big-and-bulky, our sister companies step in.
Atlas is part of a Texas-owned family of logistics companies. When it doesn't fit in a medical cooler, one of our siblings handles it.
47 years of showing up. Four cities. One dispatch line.
